    One of the more prominent citizens of Ravalli County for several decades passed from life Tuesday at Daly Memorial Hospital. He was Ingward S. Nordheim who had been identified with public affairs in the county for years and with the operation of his farm in Corvallis district for a long period.

    Funeral services are to be conducted at the Dowling chapel in Hamilton Thursday afternoon at two o’clock with Rev. Robert Varker in charge. There will also be Masonic graveside services in Corvallis cemetery where interment is to be made.

    Pallbearers will be Robert Smyth, Jack Morris, Robert Holloran, Dan Sutherland, Albert Miles, and Alvin Thorson.

    Honorary pallbearers named are Otto Quast, Hector Rasmussen, Gomer Lockridge, Lloyd Terry, Roy Thomas, Clarence Moyle, John Gander, Terry Nobles.

    Ingward E. Nordheim was born at Midtbruget, Norway on July 1, 1900 and came to the United States to make his home in 1905 and to the Bitter Root in 1909.

    At Corvallis June 26, 1927 he was married to Estella Rockafellow. They raised their family in the Corvallis community where both became active in civic church and lodge affairs.

    Mr. Nordheim was a member of the Corvallis Blue lodge, of the Shrine Corvallis Grange, the Corvallis Methodist church and of the Eastern Star.

    In 1950 Mr. Nordheim was elected a Ravalli county commissioner and served a six year term.

    He commanded the respect of hundreds of Bitter Root citizens who join the bereaved family in mourning his departure from this world.

    The survivors are the widow; a son, Keith of Corvallis; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Angel, Abilene, Texas; Mrs. A. C. Jones, Cheney, Wash.; Mrs. Robert Thorson, Corvallis; 13 grandchildren; and in Norway, three sisters and five brothers.
