Community Almanac

Exeter is a town located in Washington County, RI. It was established in 1641 and incorporated in 1742. It was once part of lands that served as a stronghold of the Narragansett Indians. It then moved towards a landscape of farming and small village centered mills and is still a largely rural community today.
