I suggest that the time may be appropriate for Pflugerville to consider the purchase of Blackhawk Golf Course and the creation of a Pflugerville owned Muninciple Golf Course.
As many know, the course is presently in foreclosure and is now owned and operated by a banking concern. This may mean that an opportunity is available. The course has a nice history with Pflugerville and is a source of providing quality of life for residents of the town. The course also brings in money and play from folks that live outside of Pflugerville. The town could then support the high schools and middle schools in PISD by offering the course for use by the school teams. The course could be included within the Parks & Recreation Department of Pflugerville and could be well maintained. This action could fall in line with the increase in recreational options such as Lake Pflugerville, the parks, the fitness center, etc
I have lived in Pflugerville for 13 years and I do not beleive we will see a better time for Pflugerville to add to the recreational and quality of life opportunites in this manner.
I suggest that the city council please give this consideration and review for the comprehensive plan
