When the Clifford family arrived in Starksboro, Vermont, they quickly created a name for themselves. Today, over 200 years later, the Clifford Dairy farm is still a prominent feature and the Cliffords are well known for their contribution to the town.
In this video, retired farmers Art and Suzie Clifford along with their son and daughter in law, Eric and Jane, talk about their experiences farming. They reflect not only on the future of their own farm, but also on the uncertainties in the future of dairy farming in Vermont.
This video, featuring voices and images from the farm, was made in the fall of 2008 by Middlebury College students Max Kanter, Lindsay Patterson and Aylie Baker.
