Square Butte Grazing Association was formed in 1992. It was  part of the John Estes, Floyd Jackson, Frank McCarther, and Bub Nunn ranches. 

Ed and Darlene Songer managed the ranch form then until the spring of 2008.

Some of our most memorable experiences were gathering cattle deep in the willows on the Missouri, and helping neighbors.  We gained a deep respect and love for this country.

Ed worked as a brand inspector and Darlene worked as a nurse, traveling to Lewistown, Jordan, Malta and Roundup.  During the winter we built saddles and did tack and tack repair.
